Luke 6:12

How many times do we stop and pray?  People now days are afraid of the silence.  Why?  Maybe we are afraid of what we might hear.  Maybe we are afraid we won't hear anything.  Maybe we're afraid because we know we'll never be the same once we start hearing.  Jesus was God!  Jesus was God in the flesh and he made it a point to get away from literally everything else and have fellowship with God.  And, his prayer wasn't a "cookie cutter" prayer and over in 2 minutes just to say he prayed; he "continued all night in prayer with God."  This came after a full day of healing, teaching, fellowshiping, etc.  Jesus still made the time to give himself that intimate bond with his Father!

  1. Luke 6:12. And it came to pass in those days that he went out into a mountain to pray and continued all night in prayer to God.

To pray or communicate with God is hard sometimes. Some never pray unless they need or want something and then complain that nothing happened. Some pray several times a day. At times when I am spending my morning reading the bible and praying time goes very quickly. It is hard to imagine praying all night but I think you would get so excited in your talk with the Lord it would be morning before you knew it. I'm going to do that sometime. I think some people or afraid of what God will tell them. We all have to become more in the Lords way instead of our way which is not easy at times. But reading the bible, praying and listening to God is the path I'm taking.
